Want to use JRemote (or any other better tool?) to control Media Center with my iPhone. Nothing dramatic- just search/skip to new songs during playback or add them to  play list. That's it, I don't think it should be hard but I'm really, really struggling.  JRemote app has worked successfully on my I phone for me before with this server. No idea why not now- maybe upgrade to newer version of MC25?.


Problem: phone "no server connected". I attempt to "add server" -input ?  my "access key", username and what I think is my password (can't see how to look up or confirm?) into app- can't connect. "Found 2 addresses, server name, user   name or password invalid".

Please help! I'm 60 and level of IT knowledge on this forum is orders of magnitude over my head. took my 3 hours to find out where I should look for my access key- no idea what "wiki" is or where to find it).  I would really appreciate all advice and suggestions- thanks in advance!

Look up Authentication on our wiki.  It's set in the options for Media Network on the server.  That's  the login/password.

Go to Tools/options and select Media network, on the second row you’ll find the access key

@stefano_mbp you should edit out your access key in your screenshot, as posting it publicly will allow anyone to (attempt) to connect to your server.

Mike, on top of this page, to the right of JRiver logo,  click "home" -on bottom center of home page click "wiki" - it's basically a user manual - good luck!

When you're unfamiliar with a term, try Google.  Add JRiver to your search to find our wiki.

I really appreciate everyones help!!! Turns out I needed to work through steps for " Use media network to share this library and enable DLNA"- who knew!!
