Author Topic: Incorrect number of channels showing in file tags with some files  (Read 327 times)

Hi, long time user and first time poster. I've had a search through and haven't been able to find anything posted about this previously but hoping there is a solution.

Some video files which contain multi channel audio (6 channels) show up in tags as being 2 channel. I only noticed this as I was using a zone switch for AV/music based around the number of channels available, only wanting to fire up the cinema gear for surround encoded media.
I've confirmed through ubuntu file properties and by playing them through my decoder (with output format channels in jriver set to no change) that they do carry six channels. I've tried re-analysing audio within jriver but the tag stays fixed at 2.

Is there a fix for this as the tags aren't editable. JRiver is sending all channels out correctly just this tag that reports incorrectly.

Any help much appreciated.
