I made a big booboo a long time ago and am just noticing it now. I have 5000 duplicated files with filenames. I did this a long time ago and didn't realize it. I changed the file location a while ago to match a different network share and forgot to change the import names even though both network shares work. However after doing this I forgot to change the import folder so many of the files were reimported.
What I have done is created a smartlist with the following guidelines:
- Media Type: Audio
- Playlist: is not any important playlist
- only duplicates of: filename
This has reduced the found duplicates to 4030 files. That means I have to tell it to delete 2015 files. These are files are exact duplicates even to the point of filename being exactly the same. How can I tell it to only delete one of the duplicates. I don't think it matters which one. I would really prefer not to go through the system deleting them manually if I can avoid it.
