movie won't import
« on: August 15, 2020, 07:48:01 am »

I have a bluray backup to folder of a movie.

The backup is fine.  For some reason Media Center 26 won't import it.  Any other folder backup imports just fine.

File permissions are good (rw on all files/directories).  No idea why it simply won't import.  The index.bdmv file opens and the full bluray plays in JRiver with menus.  It simply won't import it.

I did export the library to XML and scanned for the movie in question to make certain it was not already imported.  It was not.

Any ideas?

Another movie won't import.

These are complete bluray backups to folders, so it should be looking at index.bdmv.  Logs don't shed any light that I can tell...

Anyone have any ideas?  Can't find any tips that worked via forum search

So if you have the playable (index-file) in playing now view and right click it there is still "import into library" at the bottom of the dialog. And if you select it and then right click on file again is "import into library" in the bottom of the dialog (meaning that it is unimported file).

OK - so I think there is a defect in how Media Center parses the index.bdmv file

If I take the version from the 4K UHD folder backup and drop that into the 1080p BD backup, Media Center imports it fine.  Then I restore the original version from the 1080p BD backup and all is well.
