MC26 startup screen and intermediate screen are strange

(I am Japanese. The following text uses google's translation, so it may be strange.)
◆I'm not sure how to place an image in a post.
◆ Therefore, please see the attached file converted to PDF.
(Because it can be seen in the way I intended, it is this)

▼Write only the summary here
★ Please tell me about the strange display phenomenon of MC26.

1. Immediately after clicking the icon of MC26, a small image ① appears at the upper left corner of the desktop.
←If you stretch and enlarge this, it becomes the image of ①'.
▲ Moreover, after extending and using it, in the playlist state, as soon as I left it and moved to the next song, it became small ① again.
←Image ② appears immediately after clicking the MC25 icon
(MC25 has no problem)

2. Mysterious Phenomenon 2 (Mysterious Small Screen ③ Appears)
After minimizing the MC26 screen (playlist state) to the task bar, and then leaving it alone and moving to the next song, a small screen ③ appears in the upper left corner of the desktop. come.

▲These phenomena may appear unstable.
▲ I tried various things but it didn't fix.
(See the PDF file for details)
Please tell me how to fix it.

Thank you Big Spider
I haven't made a mini view.
A mini view is possible, but it's a different display.
This is a standard display event.
Please give me a solution.

Seems similar problem to https://redmondmag.com/articles/2019/05/14/windows-10-shrinking-application.aspx

The MC Windows is not just minimize but it is also clipped.

I would suggest (do one at a time ... no need to do all if one works)

1. set DPI (Windows Display Property -> Scale and Layout -> Change the size of text, apps, and other items) to 100% ... if you have 2 monitors - set to 100% on both
2. update display drivers
3. reinstall MC26
4. update your Windows to latest

1. The display setting is 100% originally.
  (4K setting is "3840 x 2160")
2. I updated the display driver to the latest, but it didn't work.
3. I tried restoring MC26 again, but it didn't work.
4. I uninstalled MC26 and reinstalled it, but it didn't work.

I notice in your screenshot you have MC shortcut. Are you starting MC26 from shortcut?

In that case... right click on shortcut choose

[Properties]->[Shortcut] ... there under [Run] choose "Maximized" or "Normal window" ... do not choose "Minimized"

Thank you tij

It didn't work even if I changed the size of the shortcut of MC26 shortcut property at the time of execution.

No matter whether you choose normal, maximized or minimized, the result will only appear the same small screen of ①.

◆ After this, I want to try a complete uninstall of MC26.
But I'm worried about what will happen.
If you know that this method is dangerous, please tell me what it means.

▲ At the beginning of uninstalling MC26, you have two choices. (→ according to the attached file screen (Japanese))
One is to delete the registry.
The other is to delete the library files as well.
I tried the first one, but it didn't work.
→ Is it okay to just make a backup of the library?

★Please tell me the difference between the two and the precautions to take when executing.

Don't change anything in the OS (shortcut picture above).

Change your font size to something smaller.  Try another language, just to see whether the problem changes.

Uninstalling probably won't help.  Back up your library first if you do try it.

Re-installing is OK.

Strange problems often have strange causes.  A video driver, for example.  Other programs affecting display.  This problem is very strange.

Don't try Mini View until Standard View is working correctly.

I tried to click Media Center 26.exe directly from C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 26.

 Thank you Jim H
→It is very encouraging for me to see this by Jim H.

▼ What I tried
1. I tried reducing the font size.
→ Display → Size → 50%. The result was the same ① appearance.
→ 100% and 70% were the same results.

2. I tried different languages.
→ I changed to English. The result was the appearance of the same small screen ①.
→ I changed it to German. The result was the same ① appearance.

★ Please let us know if you have any other things to try.

★Complete uninstall will be stopped.
★ After this, change the monitor to another old monitor and try.

The font size is a different setting.  It's in Options > Tree & View.

Try other skins.

▼ Thank you Jim H
1. Changing the font size in Options> Trees and Views didn't work either.
2. It didn't work even if I changed to another skin.
3. It was the same even if I changed the monitor to another old monitor.
4. Change the size of characters in Windows 10 and change the overall size. It was the same even if I did this.

5. There is one mysterious thing.
→ When you move to the next song after changing the screen position and size while playing a playlist, the screen will return to its original position and size. ..
→ However, if a file with only sound and a file with video are mixed, if the next song is a file with only sound, the song will start without returning to the screen.

→I will explain with the example of the attached file below.
It does not return when moving from ① to ②. (No change)
When moving from ② to ③, the screen returns to the original position and size.
→ It does not change when moving from sound only to sound only.

★From this, it can be seen that a strange phenomenon occurs only when moving to the next video.
→ What does this mean?

◆Please tell me what to try next.

◆ I'm thinking of doing a Windows 10 system restore.
→ The restore point is one and a half months before the trial version of MC26 was installed.
→Please tell me if there are any notes.

★ However, I think that if I do this, it will only repeat itself.
★In order to investigate the cause, I think it's better to keep trying as it is.
★For that, I need your next advice.

★★ What I don't know most is that the MC25 works well in the same environment.
→ What does this mean?
→ Is there a problem only with MC26?

★ Is there the same phenomenon with other people?

▲Please give me some wisdom.
→ For example, items such as display options in the MC26 and other programs that affect the display

▲That's all for now.

This isn't a problem we're seeing commonly.  It may be something unusual about your display.  Bad video driver is always a possibility.  Older ones may sometimes be better.

Are you using any other software that affects video display?

◆→My PC environment is as follows.
1. Windows10 Home ver is 1903
2. The graphic board is RADEON RX 580 8G GDDR5,
→ To be exact, "SAPPHIRE-NITRO+
RADEON RX 580 8G GDDR5 OC
SA-RX580-8GD5N+001V2/11265-01-20G''

▲ Incidentally, this graphic board has a history of being replaced with a new one after the first purchased product had a problem after 10 months.
→ The symptom at that time was that a "sandstorm" appeared 4 times at startup, and a strange noise was heard.
I sent this out for inspection and a new one was sent.

3. The GPU driver version is
① The latest is "win10-radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-edition-20.4.2-may25.exe"
② The old one is "Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.3.4-March23" (the one on the attached DVD)

▲ The environment was old ② until recently. (But this is still a strange phenomenon)
→ I changed this to the latest one of ①, but it did not improve. Currently this state.

★In case of old monitor, if it is a new ②, etc., the "Sandstorm" screen will appear when the PC is started, so it was set to the old ②. (Old monitor is "HYNDAI-W240D")
→ Even if the new monitor is the latest ①, the "Sandstorm" screen does not appear when the PC starts.
(The new monitor is "iiyama ProLite XB2779QQS-S1" (5K compatible)).

4. The antivirus I'm using is
"Kaspersky Internet Security"

5. The PC is a mid-range tower desktop PC that I made one and a half years ago, and the CPU is "AMD Ryzen 5 2600 BOX",
The motherboard is "ASRock X470 Taichi",
SSD 500GB, HDD 4TB,

that's all. Please tell me what you understand.
Thank you always.

Uninstall Kaspersky.  Not disable.  Uninstall.

Quote
3. The GPU driver version is

② The old one is "Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.3.4-March23" (the one on the attached DVD)
Sometimes manufacturers install their own software in addition to the drivers.  You only need the drivers.  Anything that can control the display could cause problems.

Antivirus do interfere with MC. You need to set up exceptions in AV to not interfere with MC.

New major version of MC require you to set up AV for it. Whatever you did in Kaspersky to make MC25 work, you need to do for MC26.

Each Antivirus setup is different. Unfortunately I cannot help you with Kaspersky as i am running Bitdefender.

My advice ... look into each Kaspersky setting carefully ... and if you see some settings for MC25 ... do exact same settings for MC26.

if that fails ... try to uninstall Kaspersky as JimH suggested (you will need to configure Windows Defender as it will take over AV functions ... see this https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114101.0.html by Awesome Monkey on how to set up Windows Defender)

Uninstall first to see if Kaspersky is the problem.

In fact, using Windows Defender only is a better solution.

(Since I don't understand English well, I am writing with google translation. Sorry for the late reply.)

1. I checked the contents of Kaspersky and saw it.
→ In "Application Management", MC24, MC25, and MC26 were all "permitted" (trusted) for JRiver startup and restrictions.
→ Kaspersky did not disturb the MC. I think.
(See attached image ① below)

2. As a precaution, I uninstalled Kaspersky Lab.
→ I moved MC26 without Kaspersky, but it was the same as before.
→ The strange appearance of the screen was the same regardless of the presence or absence of Kaspersky.
(So I reinstalled Kaspersky)

3. Windows Defender was disabled.
→ Windows button → Windows security → Application and browser control → Provider management → According to the screen shown in.
(See attached images ② and ③ below)

4. I'm not sure,
I saw "https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114101.0.html", but I'm not sure.
→ "Windows Defender can and does interfere with JRiver Media Center's ability to playback all your media files." → (It says so.)

★ If Windows Defender is disabled, that's fine.
→If you don't have Windows Defender, isn't the MC26 in the way?
→Isn't it all right to have Kaspersky alone?

▲ So far, I was able to confirm.
→ If I am misunderstood, please let me know.

I would recommend using only Windows Defender and configuring it.

But what you've learned probably means that the more likely cause is the video hardware and driver.  You said you installed what came on the disc, but sometimes that can cause problems.  You could try removing that and installing only the video driver.  Search for it online and download it from the manufacturer.  When you install, read carefully and install only the driver.

korewa tabun MC ni kankenaku Windows ka radeon doriba no shiwazadesuyo.

things you can still try:
- use only Windows Defender (configured for mc)
- remove driver software 20.4.2 and install driver 20.8.3 date 20.08.27 = https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580
- check for conflicts and/or try different Windows scaling (settings Display) and Radeon Adrenalin scaling
- try windows file explore folder option: view>option>folder options>view> restore previous folder windows at login = off (after expanding mc26 window)
- change high dpi scaling for Media Center 26 exe/shortcut >file properties>Compatibility>Change high DPI settings  (after expanding mc26 window)
* combinations of above
* reboots if necessary

Thank you B4Unyu and JimH, everyone.
▼I will let you know what I tried after that and the result.

1. Views of folder options
→ Explorer → View → Folder options → View tab → □ Show previous folder window at logon
→ The result was the same whether I put a check here or not. (Whether MC is displayed or not)

2. Change high DPI settings
→ Right click on the short cut of MC26 → Compatibility tab → "Change high DPI setting" below → I tried by selecting three items, but → It seemed to be fixed temporarily, but After restarting, it was back again.
▲ However, be careful not to mess with this tab because you will not be able to start MC like the above post.
★ I fixed it by leaving all the checks in this tab blank

3. I compared all the tabs of the MC25 and MC26 properties.
→ There were some differences (Owner, MC26 is Administrator, etc.)

→This difference became the same by rebuilding the short cut.
★In addition, I tried rebuilding the short cut of MC25, but this MC25 also works comfortably without any problems.
★In addition, while doing various things, the MC25 sometimes showed a small screen ① at the start.
★ However, this is unstable, and it may or may not come out.

★ Currently, there are two new MC26 and MC25 short cuts in the desktop.
→When switching between the two, a dialog appears saying "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to the device?"

4. I compared in detail whether there is a difference in the option setting of MC25 and MC26.
(The MC26 had a few more menus, but it was the same when I tried it)
→The setting contents of both options were the same.
→ It is still unknown why only MC26 is strange.

▲ So far, please let me know if there are anything I should try.

Try installing an older video driver.  Download it from the manufacturer.  Uninstall the video software you installed earlier for that video hardware first.  You only need the driver.  An older driver may work better.

▼ Thank you JimH and B4Unyu

1. The old graphic driver for Windows 10 doesn't seem to be on the internet right now.
2. A safe site with a new driver is AMD's site, which B4Unyu also told me in Reply #22,
I know from the beginning that it is "https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580".
→ However, old drivers do not appear here.

3. There are no older graphic board manufacturers (ASK).
(For some reason, it was before 2017.)

▼ How to find AMD's graphics driver for Windows.
4. I've had a hard time downloading a driver from a bad site before. (The "DriverHub" site is the worst)
→ After that, the download only uses safe site.
(There are some sites that check if the site is safe)

5. Even if I search various secure sites with old drivers (for Windows) for "AMD RX 580" in Japanese, it doesn't appear.
→ It seems that the release of past versions for Windows has stopped.

6. So, it would be helpful to find a safe site with an old driver in an English search. (Official site is better) (because I don't understand English well)
→ My graphic board is exactly "SAPPHIRE-NITRO
RADEON RX 580 8G GDDR5 OC SA-RX580-8GD5N 001V2/11265-01-20G [PCIExp 8GB]"

7. In addition, some old drivers remain in my C:AMD folder.

★ Among these, re-installable are ④, ⑤, ⑥
→ ①, ②, ③ can not be done because a small window of "Setup has detected an incompatible build Setup will now exit" appears at the beginning of the installation.

→ ⑥ is the environment up to yesterday, ④ is the first environment, both of which have the problem phenomenon.
→ Today, I re-installed ⑤. Currently this environment.

8. The current situation of problems in my environment is still unstable.
→ Currently, I have rebuilt the Shortcut,
MC26 (64bit), MC25 (64bit), MC24 (32bit) are placed on the desktop. (MC20-MC23 have been deleted. Should have been left.)

9. It is unstable even after rebooting several times.
①: A small screen appears in the upper left at the start,
②: When minimized and placed on the task bar, a strange small screen appears when the song changes,
③: If the position of the screen is changed on the middle screen, it will return to the original position when the song changes.

→MC26 shows ①:, ②:, ③:. MC24 is comfortable and works smoothly. If I click MC25, it will be after the screen for administrator confirmation, but it will work without problems.
→ However, these are unstable, and the MC 24 and 25 sometimes show a small screen of ①:.
Immediately after restarting, there are times when ① does not appear even with the MC26.

★As a result, I think that changing the driver won't fix it? How is it?
The above is an unstable situation.
★ What is the cause of this? .. And how can I fix it?

★ Please let me know if I still have something to try
Thank you.

If you have another machine, please try to  duplicate the problem on it.

Or a different video card.

so other MC versions have this problem too?

hmmm ... do you use some tools/utilities that modify Windows behavior?

Do other programs besides MC that behave like this?

Check main executables properties (not shortcuts) to see if compatibility mode are enabled on them.

It’s possible the problem can be as simple as your keyboard or mouse not working properly (try to use different keyboard and mouse).

If your motherboard/cpu have build in GPU (most do) ... try using that instead of AMD ... just to see if problem is there too.

▼ Thank you Jim H and tij

1. I tried it on another PC.
→ Install MC26 trial version on another computer (SONY VAIO SVE1713AJ).
(The installation was done by copying and clicking the same set-up file (ver26.0.106).)
★ When I run MC26 with the trial version (30 days left),
→ ①: When I clicked on the short cut, the startup screen appeared in a medium size.
→ ②: However, if the position of the screen is changed in the middle screen, it will return to the original position when the song changes. (In the same way, click the stop button to return to the original position.)
→ ③: Also, when the song is minimized and placed on the task bar, if the song changes, the middle screen appears without permission. (You won't be left in the task bar)

▲This phenomenon occurred.
→ It was the same after rebooting.
→ What does this mean? (Why does this happen even though it is another computer?)

2. Go back to my desktop computer,
(1) → It was the same even if I changed the mouse.
(The same phenomenon remained with another USB mouse and PS/2 mouse)

(2) → There is no problem with video playback programs other than MC26.
(Microsoft's "Movie & TV", 5K player,)

(3) → I checked the properties of the C: executable file instead of the shortcut, but the compatibility mode was blank as well.

(4) → When MC26 ends, if you do "ctrl" + "MC26 ✖", the screen at the end of the previous time will appear at the next start. I tried to do it, but it did not change due to an unstable phenomenon.

▲This is the report of what I did today.
Above 1. Is strange. ? ? ?
Thank you

What is the full version of MC26?  26.0.107 is available.

The fact that other programs work does not eliminate the video driver as the cause.   That's just how bugs work.

1. The MC26 ver on another my PC is currently 26.0.107.
→ It seems that the second import was automatically performed immediately after the installation, and it became "26.0.107".
→ Yesterday's phenomenon report is about this environment.
→ If the same phenomenon occurs even though the video driver etc. is in a completely different environment, it seems that there is a bug on the MC26 side.

★ Please check if this phenomenon occurs on other people's PCs.
→ ①: When I clicked on the short cut, the startup screen appeared in a medium size.
→ ②: However, if the position of the screen is changed in the middle screen, it will return to the original position when the song changes. (In the same way, click the stop button to return to the original position.)
→ ③: Also, when the screen is minimized and placed on the taskbar, if the song changes, the middle screen will appear without permission. (You won't be left in the task bar)
(The story when you click the "-" button on the upper right)

2. Just in case, I will replace it with another video card and check what happens.

That's all for now. Thank you.

Last time I saw a report like this that didn't respond to changing the Windows DPI settings, or font sizing in MC, and other issues discussed, the problem was caused by the Language MC was set to use. I believe high DPI screens were handled slightly differently in Asian languages, either in Windows or MC, I'm not sure. It could have actually been the language that Windows was set to. It certainly was a combination of Language and other settings. It may have been fixed with a video driver update.

Sorry I can't remember more detail. There is probably a thread on the forum about it somewhere.

Looks like you using some skin for MC ... try changing skin to default to see if problem persist. If problem gone then it’s the skin that has problem.

If problem persist, then try standard skin with English user interface to see if it’s Japanese User Interface that’s causing the problem.

▼ Thank you tij and RoderickGI

★ I tried changing the skin by changing the language state, but it didn't work.
1: I changed all the skins on MC26 in Japanese and tried them one by one, but the problem was not fixed.
→ A small screen appears in the upper left when starting. etc

2: I tried the language status in English, but the problem was not fixed.
→ However, at the time of start, the middle screen often appears around the center.
(There was also a skin with a small screen on the upper left.)
(When I tried the same thing before, there were many cases where a small screen appeared?)
→ After moving the position of the middle screen, it will return to the original position when moving another video.

3: The same result was obtained in Spanish.
★ It seems that the cause is neither language nor skin.
(However, the appearance of the phenomenon is unstable.)
★ Also, I tried it before,
→ If the next song is a sound-only file, the song will start without returning to the screen. → («Reply # 13 on: September 03, 2020, 06:49:02 am»)

▼ In addition, RoderickGI's reply says that there may be a problem only in the environment where the language is Japanese, so check "Media Center in Japanese" to see if other Japanese have the same phenomenon. I would like to post.

(2) → There is no problem with video playback programs other than MC26.
(Microsoft's "Movie & TV", 5K player,)

i am really confused now. From above quote it looks like the problem occur when you play video files.

Can you be more precise ... when does problem occur ... when you start MC? ... after finish playing video? ... after finish playing audio? ... during playing audio?

EDIT: i can get similar behaviour out of MC if video playback changes resolution of the screen ... then MC changes resolution back after video finished playing.

Playlist you mention earlier ... is the playlist is audio files only, video filrs only, or mix of video files with audio files?

▼ Thank you very much, Mr. tij

1: The phenomenon is summarized below.
→ Phenomenon (A): When I click the shortcut of MC26, the startup screen appears in the upper left with a strange small screen.
★ Note: (Addition after posting: This small screen changes the image when you change the skin, and all are small)

→ Phenomenon (B): When the screen is medium size while MC26 is in operation, if the position or size of the screen is changed. If you move to another video file, the position will return to the original position.
(Similarly, clicking the stop button also returns to the original position.)
(Note: It will not return if the next is a music file. It will return if it is a video file.)

→ Phenomenon (C): (When the "-" button on the upper right is clicked)
Also, when the screen is minimized and placed on the taskbar, if it changes to the next video file, a medium screen (or a strange small screen) will appear without permission. (Doesn't stay in the taskbar)
(Note: It will not appear if the next is a music file. It will appear if the next is a video file.)

→ Phenomenon (D): (I noticed today) If you click another video file on the middle screen, the screen will be maximized without permission.
(Note: When the music file is clicked, the maximized screen does not appear on its own. The middle screen remains.)

★ However, these appearances are unstable and sometimes appear normal.
(Note: The appearance of phenomenon (A) may change after restarting)
(Note: The appearance of phenomenon (A) may change when the skin is changed, etc.)

2: Arrangement when a phenomenon occurs
Case (1): When MC26 is started → Phenomenon (A)
Case (2): Playing a video file on MC26 → Phenomenon (B) and Phenomenon (C) and Phenomenon (D)
Case (3): Playing a video file on MC26 → Next playing a music file → Nothing happens.
▼ → I will explain with the example of the attached file below.
When moving from ① to ②, the position of the screen does not return. (Does not change)
When moving from ② to ③, the screen will return to its original position and size.
Note: → It does not change when moving from a music file to a music file.

3: Operation of other video player programs
★ There are "Movie & TV", "Windows Media Player", and "5KPlayer" in my PC.
→ All of these work without any problems.
→ It is the same even if the resolution is changed.

▲ Is this the answer you are looking for? ..
(I didn't quite understand the meaning of "EDIT"?)

Thank you always. Please continue to solve the problem.

It seems you have two problems:

1. at start-up
2. playing videos

Lets troubleshoot one at a time to avoid confusion

for (2)

* start playing video file (not video file in playlist) will always play in full-screen (someone correct me here if I am wrong ... I am not aware of any settings that will start playing video not in full-screen ... if someone know ... please do tell)

thats  → Phenomenon (D): (I noticed today) If you click another video file on the middle screen, the screen will be maximized without permission.

* now to playlist ... if your playlist starts with video ... it will be played full-screen

if your playlist starts with audio ... when video file in playlist is played it will be played in Display (not full screen)

I did a bit of testing ... and it seems when video starts playing - MC remembers its position/size ... so when video stops - MC returns to position/size when video starts playing

thats → Phenomenon (B): When the screen is medium size while MC26 is in operation, if the position or size of the screen is changed. If you move to another video file, the position will return to the original position.

this behavior make sense for video playing in full-screen ... and I can imagine its pretty annoying for your use case ... unfortunately I do not know how to solve that

* when video starts playing in playlist ... it will bring MC out of minimize state

thats → Phenomenon (D): (I noticed today) If you click another video file on the middle screen, the screen will be maximized without permission.

I assume thats what developers intended ... if video file is playing, why playing it in minimized mode ... unfortunately I do not know how to solve this too

Options > General > Behaviour > Jump on play (video)". Defaults to "Display View" to give you a full screen view, but can be set to Playing Now in various ways.

In fact, search for "Jump" in the Options dialogue and inspect/learn all settings. i.e. "Jump to windowed display mode when playback is started externally".

1: On my PC ("Movie & TV", "Windows Media Player", "5KPlayer",), when I click the video file of the HDD folder directly,
Play starts at a medium screen size. (→ Not full size from the beginning)
→ It is the same even if I first click the video playback software and then select and play the video file.
→ After that, I can go back to full size screen or restore it as I want. (There is no selfish behavior like MC26.)

2: With MC25, phenomena (A), (B), (C), and (D) do not occur.
→ This phenomenon occurs only in MC26. That's the problem.
→ Does this phenomenon occur only in MC26 even though it is the same PC environment? It can only be considered that there is a bug on the MC26 side.

3: Today, there was a post that another Japanese MC26 user had a similar phenomenon (A). (Media Center in Japanese)
→ The phenomenon disappeared when Windows 10 2040 was used.
However, when checking with the latest IME → "Use an earlier version of Microsoft IME", the phenomenon reoccurs. "
→ Currently, I am inquiring about the details of this person's previous phenomenon occurrence state.

▲ → Now I can't say that the cause is only in my PC environment.
★ → It seems that IME may be related to the phenomenon.
(Especially, it seems that there are many bugs in the new "Japanese IME" and "Chinese IME") (I don't know if it is accurate because it is internet information)
→ My IME ver is "ver 10.0.18362.1 (updated on March 19, 2019)".

▲ Thank you. Please continue to solve the problem.
→ After this, I will try "Options-> General-> Operation" posted by RoderickGI. Thank you RoderickGI

See attached picture ... setting Options > General > Behaviour > Jump on play (video) to NONE will resolve your (C) and (D)

★ The improvement result was only phenomenon (D).

1: The reaction result of my PC when the operation (video) at the time of playback is set to "NONE" is as follows.
(Note: Before fixing, it was "Show display")

→ Only phenomenon (D) has been fixed. However, it is unstable.
→ Phenomenon (A), (B), (C) does not change.
Note: I have confirmed this even after restarting the MC26 and after restarting the PC.

2: When "Current playlist" and "Show view" are selected, it is as follows.
→ The result was the same as 1: above.

3: Looking at the same setting of MC25,
→ There is no problem with the phenomenon even though it is in the "display" state before changing the settings.
★ There is something wrong only on the MC26 side. I think.
★ Maybe there is a cause in the menu that changed from MC25 to MC26.

▼ Note: The Japanese option screen of MC26 is as attached below.

★ → In addition, the explanation of the English Wiki that appears in the lower right help does not match the current MC26 screen. (Is the Wiki help old?)
★ → I understand that it is difficult to revise the explanation screen, but at least write the date of description and the corresponding MC version at the beginning of the sentence.

4: When another Japanese phenomenon occurs (inquiry result)
→ Phenomenon (A) has occurred. Phenomenon (B), (C), (D) is unknown because he did not operate it.
→ The environment at the time of the phenomenon of that person is "Windows 10 1909"
→ The person's current IME version is "10.0.19041.1 (2019/12/7)"
→ Currently, when "Switching IME to an earlier version" in "Windows10 2040", the phenomenon (A) occurs.

▲ The problem has not been solved yet, so please continue to support me.
That's all for now. Thank you always.

Thank you, Mr. tij

◆ Is it a procedure to cause (try) phenomenon (D)?
★ First, make the screen state of the medium size MC26, and then

1: When the video operation setting is "None"
(Attachment below "◆ (D) Procedure" None "screen")
→ Double click on any video file → Maximization does not occur.
→ "Display pane" at the bottom left of the screen → Double click → Maximize screen.
→ After that, double click to return to the original size.

2: When the video operation setting is "Current playlist"
(Attachment below "◆ (D) Procedure" Current playlist "screen")
→ Double click on any video file → Maximization does not occur.
→ Click on the image above → Maximize screen.
→ After that, double click to return to the original size.

3: When the video operation setting is "Show view"
→ Double click any video file → Maximize screen.
Note: In this case, double-click any video file to maximize it immediately.
→ After that, double click to return to the original size.

4: When the video operation setting is "Show display"
→ Same as in 3: (Previously it was in this "display" state)

▲ The above is the reaction on my PC. Is it different from your case?

★ Is this the answer you are looking for?
(I'm not sure what you want to know)

That's all for now. Thank you for your support.

Re: MC26 startup screen and intermediate screen are strange

1: When the video operation setting is "None"
(Attachment below "◆ (D) Procedure" None "screen")
→ Double click on any video file → Maximization does not occur.
→ "Display pane" at the bottom left of the screen → Double click → Maximize screen.
→ After that, double click to return to the original size.

So this solves your (D) problem

→ Phenomenon (D): (I noticed today) If you click another video file on the middle screen, the screen will be maximized without permission.
(Note: When the music file is clicked, the maximized screen does not appear on its own. The middle screen remains.)

If yes, we can move to other problems :)  ... I want to make sure (D) is solved ... so less things to worry about :)

 Thank you, Mr. tij
★ There is something I would like you to check for phenomenon (D).

▲ Note: In the above case, when you double-click "Display" at the bottom left of the medium screen size, the screen will be maximized immediately. (In the case of my MC26)
▲ However, in the case of MC25, when you double-click this same "display" at the bottom left, the screen is not maximized, the screen size remains medium, and the screen size is displayed large in that range.
Also, double-click to return to the original screen state.
★ Note: This is more comfortable. I like this reaction.
→ When you want to maximize the screen, it is convenient to click the maximize button in the upper right corner.

★ Please be aware that the phenomenon (D) has not been completely solved just by setting it to "None".

That's all for now. Thank you for your support.
