JRemote not working iPad Pro

do you have the iOS dark theme turned on?

check in Settings / Display and Brightness.

if you have Dark enabled, the Settings gear is barely visible.   this is a known issue.

JRemote works on iPad pro as i have it installed there as well as an iPad mini and iphone.

I just updated the app from a fresh install and noticed that the gear icon is invisible in the Light theme. It's the same color as the background. It's still there and functional, you just can't see it. It is visible in the Dark theme.
