Up2Stream DLNA / streaming services device
« on: September 01, 2020, 04:14:56 am »

Have some old amps sitting around doing nothing as no DLNA / or streaming services options.  Found the following devices from Arylic on the Internet & decided to give them a go.  I grabbed an Amp board as well as thinking of in-ceiling speaker options.

They arrived today & I started with the pro-receiver board.  Initial thoughts
  • well packaged
  • easy set-up of the device
  • MC sees it as a DLNA device and it works OK as a DMR and DMP
  • Got it working with DLNA settings to convert to MP3 as required and Specified Output Format with PCM 16bit.  Have not been able to get it to work with PCM L16 No Header
  • Works with Spotify

So far -  happy with a relatively cheap method to have some better music options in the shed

Will take some more pics / screenshots in the next few days.  Hopefully get to the amplifier board on the weekend

the board has been working without issue since I connected it.  Have queried Arylic regarding support for PCM L16 No Header and if they have plans to support SetNextAVTransportURI (for gapless).  will post back when I get a reply

Hopefully get to the amplifier board this weekend and see how well they sync when linked up

In MC, try toggling SetNext.  Right click on the device in MC.

Thx Jim

Have tried that + combinations of the other settings to no avail

As soon as the specified output is set to PCM L16 No Header, MC shows the track starting, but no sound.  MC moves to "stopped" after 5 secs.

Will continue to investigate

I just bought three different pieces from Arylic. The Up2Stream HD DAC board, S10 Streamer and A30 Streaming amp. So far so good. My only issue is that when using JRemote/MO4Media to the Arylics via DLNA that the beginnings of songs are cut off. I know this is an old thread but is @stevemac or anyone else using these having success?
