Presets Saved Ok, But not become default on restart?
« on: September 18, 2020, 09:45:04 am »

Hello just upgraded from 24 to 27!

Had to set my columns and preset info to my liking and saved my preset to a "name" . All ok.

Then when exiting JR27 and restarting the preset I exited doesnt come back?

The default comes up and I have to select the custom preset I created prior again...

Shouldnt JRiver remember the preset I shut down with and come up with that last preset shutdown with??

JR 24 does....maybe I am missing a setting??

Thanks
Alex

Update: Funny thing when i am in JRiver 27 and select my saved preset the columns come up ok..i play a song fine...then if I click on another song to play while a song is playing it starts that new song but the preset jumps back to the default???

Wierd.. I just installed JRiver 26 and all this preset stuff works ok....save a preset. Close JRiver. Reopen and it comes up with the last closed preset.

Help!

Are you using MC as a client for another copy of MC running as a server?

Hello..thanks for the fast reply.

I only use JRiver for playing music on a single pc.

I havent tried to set any server stuff at all to my knowledge.

I do now have JRiver 24 which i have used primarly since it came out with no issues with presets.
Just today did i take advantage of the price reduction offereing (thanks!) and loaded JR 27, i went thru and comapared all my dsp settings to make then match with what I had in JR24.
And resized the columns etc to suit my needs....saved to a preset etc...

So nothing out of the ordinary here...pretty much plain jane Jim...

I did reload 27 again and same thing.

JR26 works just fine?

Should I remove 24 and 26 ?

Usually I only have 1 version installed, but when I load a new version like 27 I leave the old version on the pc for awhile just incase and after a few days I then delete the older version.

You mean columns are resetting? If so open MC's Options > Tree & View and uncheck Auto size columns and press OK, then resize them to your liking and close MC. They should be maintained on the next launch.
