Feature Request Changing Thumbnails for Home Movies
« on: September 12, 2020, 08:31:20 am »

Hi I have a feature request.

Could it be possible to implement changing thumbnails of several thumbnails for home movies.

So that when you hover over a video it carousels several thumbnails to give you a preview of the video.

I get that it wouldn't be used on the likes of tv shows or movies but I think it would be a great feature for home movies.

Thanks

Might as well play the trailer on hover, like Netflix ;)
Saves you the trouble of selecting and collecting multiple screenshots.

Either way that would be a nice feature request, I hope it can be done

You know that you can select any frame from a video as the thumbnail, I assume.

If you pick a good thumbnail, you shouldn't need to see several of them to know what the home video is about.

If you were really keen, you could create a trailer for the video, then use MC's Trailer functionality to play that when deciding which video to watch.

Playing the trailer on hover using the Tooltip functionality would be a whole other level of challenge. But theoretically...
