repo issue
« on: October 07, 2020, 02:40:16 pm »

I ran apt-get update && apt-get upgrade and version 20 doesn't show up. I am still at version 10, which was the original install. So none of the updates have taken.
I am set up to check the latest files

Hit:3 http://dist.jriver.com/latest/mediacenter buster InRelease

Suggestions as to what I am doing incorrectly?

Could move this to [how to ] Set upthread, as this clearly isn't a ver 20 issue, but rather a problem with my install.

Check your system clock.
Is this an arm build?

Bob, system clock shows the correct time.  Yes it is an arm build. I recently loaded MC27 on this pi.  It is apparent that has not upgraded from any of the newer version releases.  It does however update the buster kernels and versions, as I compared it to my second pi which is current with version 20.  I can't see why this one doesn't update/upgrade.

You imported the key as well?
Can you post the output of an
apt-get update
please?

not sure what you mean by imported the key. I don't know that I have ever imported a key in any of my changes to new versions of MC.  I think I followed the same steps for my bsmt pi, which I used the instructions in MC 26 linux on how to upgrade from MC25.  For my family room pi I followed the instructions in MC 27 linux.
Here is the output from a few days ago apt-get update, from the problem pi.

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo apt-get update

When, after making no changes other than the audio options set to not play fromm memory (which I think is totally unrelated), here is what I get today:
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo apt-get update

Weird to me, but whatever, I am now getting the updated versions.  Now at version 27.0.21 I expect but it won't open.
