Smart list filters
« on: October 08, 2020, 01:04:33 pm »

Is there any way in Smart Lists to select tracks cheking if a fields is empty or if It has any content without creating a new calculated field with an expression ?

And... is there any "quick way" to edit a field/expression without opening library management and navigate through the fields list ?

Thanks.

Yes.

If you mean to edit the name or definition of a permanently defined field, no.

You can however create/delete/edit expression columns directly from the file list in one of your views.  Using this approach, you needn't create a permanently defined field (calculated data) just to see the results of an expression.

I'm not near an MC right now, but, can you not get directly to the field properties via right click on the label in the tag window?

Ah, thank you for reminding me, Marko.

In the old-style tag window, No. In the new-style tag window, Yes.
