Please state all comparisons like this for example and make a separate post for each difference.
It helps if you can show the issue with a image or video as well.

Tooltips
---------
Font: Helvetica Regular 12
Monitor Mode: Retina
Flipped: Ok
Native: Momentary upside down on underneath redraw.

Thanks!

I'll create videos comparing 0.22 (flipped) retina and non-retina with .21 (native) retina and non-retina. One thing I don't know is how to find what font is used.
EDIT: Got it, it's in Tools/Options/Tree&View

Bob, I'm interested in giving feedback on the addition of native display draws. I assume that we are providing feedback re: speed of redraws during scrolling thumbnails in the interface? This is probably my only complaint about the current versions of the Mac version of JRiver. Wishfully, does this indicate that you may eventually port JRiver to Apple Silicone on MacOS 11/Big Sur?

Hi Bob
I'm seeing a dramatic difference in CPU usage between the two builds when simply playing audio.
About 70% on 27.0.21 and 12% on 27.0.22. See attached screenshots. Note there are 4 snapshots - flipped & native while showing on each of two displays - retina & HDMI.

Platform:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), 2.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 16GB RAM
MacOS Catalina 10.15.7
Two monitors - inbuilt Retina 2560x1600 & external HDMI 3840x2160
No other user-initiated activity
Playing Apple Lossless files (44.1k s/sec) using decoded file in memory.
Post-processing limited to volume leveling & adaptive volume.
Output audio piped to external speakers via Airfoil & Airplay.

Keep up the good work!
Regards

Hi Bob,

Same here... There is a noticeable increase in CPU usage when playing audio using build 27.0.21

Platform:
Late 2015 iMac 27" - 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 - 24GB RAM
MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
Did not isolate application, but the CPU overhead was drastically higher (100+%) while playing 24/96 stereo audio using build 27.0.21. Using build 27.0.22 the same song playback resulted in a CPU usage of ~13.5%.
No post-processing
Playback through internal audio D/A

Image 1: Ver. 27.0.21 - Image 2: Ver. 27.0.22 - Image 3: Ver. 23 (for reference)

Those people seeing CPU usage differences, would you please verify that those go away when you right-click on the title area and disable both the right and left spectrum analyzers?

Hi Bob,

The CPU overhead is much better with both spectrum displays turned off. When they are on in build 27.0.21 they are noticeably slower and use 103.5% of CPU overhead on my machine. Turned off, the CPU usage drops to ~18.9% on the same build. (see screenshots below)

CPU usage is much better in build 27.0.22. ~15.2% with both spectra running and ~5.1% with neither spectra. (see below)

Good pick, Bob.
CPU usage is lower on both builds when the spectra are disabled (not surprising - FFTs are fast but not instant:-).
But it's dramatically lower on the Native (27.0.21) build.
Interestingly, the pixel density starts to have a relative impact with the spectra turned off.

The raw figures:
Spectra
on/off
Display27.0.2127.0.22
OnRetina57%16%
OnHDMI73%12%
OffRetina9.4%9.3%
OffHDMI9.2%5.3%
