I have several personal virtual private network subscriptions including 2021 Kaspersky Security Cloud Family and Kaspersky Secure Connection which I renew annually on January 8th, Ivacy VPN including their add-on features such as network port forwarding and firewall features which is a lifetime subscription, VPNSecure.Me which is another lifetime subscription, AirVPN via their Eddie-UI desktop client which is available for Arch-based GNU/Linux desktop operating systems as well as the typical Debian, Ubuntu, and Red Hat-based GNU/Linux distributions for three years, and Perfect-Privacy VPN which has their VPN Manager desktop client available for Debian and Ubuntu for two years [there is an independent GIT Arch User Repository to download, build, install, sign in, and use it for Arch and Manjaro].
I took my mid-2015 Apple Macbook Pro 15" with Retina Display high-end and old mobile workstation to my close friends' apartments here in Nutley, New Jersey and JRiver Media Center 26 as of the latest build version 64-bit for Apple macOS 10.15.6 Supplemental Update "Catalina" had no problems connecting to my JRiver media servers running on both Manjaro 20.1 64-bit "Mikah" and Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Pro edition as of the current September 2020 Microsoft Patch Tuesdays security updates. For both GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows 10, I installed, licensed, restored my media library database file, setup my JRiver media servers including my custom HTTP and HTTPS network ports via TCP, set a user name and password, and configured the Audio to not convert the audio and to set it at 24-bit. I tested remote access to my JRiver media servers on Manjaro and Windows 10 multiple times including non-encrypted remote access over the Internet to both the HTTP and HTTPS network ports via TCP. I connected to each personal virtual private network and re-tested both HTTP and HTTPS network traffic into my JRiver media server on both desktop operating systems without any problems. I streamed my audio, images, videos, JRiver Cloudplay, and I watched over-the-air television remotely at my friends' apartments without any problems.
Then, I took my late 2019 CUK HP Omen 15t gaming notebook PC to my friends' apartments and I re-tested the same remote connections using HTTP and HTTPS with a non-encrypted connection to the Internet and while connected to each personal virtual private network subscription one at a time. No problems.
Perfect-Privacy VPN allows up to four cascading multi-hop encrypted network connections to the VPN servers worldwide and they allow network port forwarding via direct connections as well as port mirroring capabilities and features. So, I configured my JRiver media server to use the current and custom network port forwarding rules on Manjaro and Microsoft Windows 10 on my mid-2017 AVA Direct gaming desktop PC and I took both my Macbook Pro and HP Omen 15t to my friends' apartments to test non-encrypted and encrypted network connections over the Internet and it still keeps working just fine.
No problems!
