27.0.37 (11/24/2020)

1. Changed: Track info markers for TrackInfo_Insert will try to better handle fields with parenthesis in the name.

1. Fixed: DSD output could crackle in recent builds.
2. Fixed: Italian had the same translation for skin and theme, so it caused Theater View options to misbehave.

1. NEW: Fast Forwarding and Rewinding are now supported for Streaming (DMS) TV tuners.
2. Changed: Changed the read caching behavior of the thumbnail database to reduce memory consumption and improve performance with large databases.
3. Fixed: When time-shifting session on a DMS tuner ended, an empty folder was left undeleted.
4. NEW: The column presets menu shows names of previous saves for quick overwrite (instead of requiring entering the name).

27.0.34 (11/17/2020)

2. Changed: The confirmation for clearing Playing Now will no longer say it will stop if playback is already stopped.
3. Changed: The /Clear command line option no longer takes a required parameter.
4. Changed: Optionally you can specify MC27.exe /Clear LeavePlaying or /Clear DontRemoveCurrent to leave the playing file.
5. Changed: The lock and unlock playlist button are in the same spot, so doing a slow double click in the area will not be disruptive.

As "Peter_T" mentioned in the 27.0.34 release thread, I'm also experiencing unusual delays/hanging in the UI (since .34 and with .37). No actual crashes, just weird sluggishness/freezes in the GUI, usually with the Windows blue circle whirling. Affecting three different PCs. Had no such issues before .34.

--At startup, main startup pane displaying album covers is black for several seconds.
--Selecting Tools > Options; delay of up to 8 seconds before Options dialog appears (very weird)
--Sometimes: up to approx. 15 seconds waiting for main application window to appear upon launch.
--At startup, entire GUI 'stretches' vertically a little bit while hanging, for approx. 4-5 seconds, then returns to normal; have seen this come and go with different versions over the years, esp. on tablets.

I notice these most on an older MS Surface Pro 4 tablet. However, each of the above-note effects demonstrates on faster, desktop PCs too, although with shorter durations (divide by 2 or 3).

In case it matters:
--Each system I use is a Portable install.
--Windows Defender is completely disabled/excluded
--These phenomena just 'appeared' with .34
