Some Downloaded JRiver Cloudplay Playlists Disappear
« on: November 29, 2020, 10:31:54 am »

First, just wanted to say that I am immensely enjoying the incredible diversity of music available on JRiver Cloudplay. Thankful for the sharing of great Hi Res Music

I have successfully downloaded multiple Cloudplay playlists, and return to hear them by choosing Playlists> Cloudplay Playlists.

However for no apparent reason, some of the Cloudplay playlists (including three I recently downloaded) are blank.

For example, I download a playlist, listen to some of it, close MC 27 and return to the playlist the next day, but there is nothing there but the title.

Anything I am doing wrong?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.  Try downloading them again to see what happens.

You can also play them from your profile in the browser window.  Like them so they're in your favorites.

An Internet connection is required.

Thanks for the response.

I am connected to the internet at all times listening.

Happened again, downloaded playlist, Closed MC 27, Opened it again and the playlist had disappeared.

I just tried the same playlist and can't duplicate the problem.

Make sure you're using the latest build of MC from the top of this board.

Thanks Jim, I'll make sure I'm updated.

Wonder if it's something related to browser of Windows 10 64 bit File explorer.

Some playlists do stick, some don't.

Is there any difference in the files that work for one playlist but not another?  Maybe something on your system doesn't like one file type, for instance.

In MC, under the View Menu, you  can switch MC's browser engine between IE and Chromium.  I doubt that will do it, but it's worth a try.

Thanks again for the responses and suggestions.

There is no significant difference in the files that work, ALL of the files play fine, it's just some downloaded files saved to Playlists>Cloudplay Playlists that completely vanish. Error message "There is nothing to play" when you click within the folder where the songs used to be.

I tried downloading two new, different playlists, and again, played the songs just fine, but closing MC, then re opening I had a blank folder.

Again this occurs only when closing, then reopening MC, choosing > Cloudplay Playlists>(Title of Playlist)

The playlists work fine if I choose to listen by "hunting them down", that is, going to Cloudplay > Popular users> User name> Title Of Playlist.
