Hello,
My first post over here, actually I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem or not.

Win7-Home laptop
MC27 latest trial version for now
McIntosh C2500 preamp, connected to the laptop with USB

McIntosh has a document which walks you thru the software install (back in 2013 it was MC 20) and preferred settings. According to that document, in the Sound/Playback section of the Control Panel, JRiver MC should show up as a playback device. I only see Speakers there. Again, this document is from 2013 / MC20.

Do you guys have the MC27 shown in the Control Panel, and further configurations possible from there? Or this has changed somewhere since 2013.

Thanks for every input on this.

Welcome to the forums...

What you're referring to is only there if you activate the WDM driver in JRiver.  The purpose of the WDM driver is to allow other applications on the PC to play sound through the JRiver audio engine. So the WDM driver is irrelevant if you are using JRiver Media Center itself to play your music.
