Bug during/after CD ripping
« on: April 12, 2003, 05:50:34 pm »

This has happened a few times with the last few versions.  Basically, I starting ripping some CDs using the OGG Vorbis encoder.  After a few (I don't have a specific number) times, I add a new CD to rip, the YADB lookup appears to fail but the app is also hung then Media Core GPFs.  From that point on, when I put that CD in the system, MC9 identifies it as some OTHER CD in my collection.

If I can repeat it exactly,  I will post steps. Thanks.

Oh, but it might have something to do with NOT closed the CD Rip Dialog box after each rip...

I just reproduced a similar "feature" of this bug:

Ripped "Leo Kottke - Essential Leo Kottke" - everything went fine.

Closed the dialogs, etc.

A short time later ripped "Leo Kottke - Anthology" - the YADB "look up"  ? returned the same track list as "Essential" above and started to rip the CD, naming the tracks the same...
