I have several missing audio files in my library (the reason is for another discussion, I'll eventually find them). JR Playlists annoyingly stop playing and throws up a missing file error when it comes across one. Is there a way to tell JR to skip to the next selection in a playlist if a file is missing? I can't find a program option to skip missing files, ignore errors, or a smart list rule to exclude missing files. Is there a way to do this?

I don't know about skipping missing files in JRemote but how about finding the missing files in MC which is easily done with a properly set up Smart Playlist.
Then you can decide to either delete those from the library or associate them with the correct media file and repair the missing links.
This, to me, sounds like a more satisfying solution than just ignoring the fact that there are library entries that have no media associated with them.

Right, but "I can't find ... a smart list rule to exclude missing files." Or if I could make a smart playlist of all the files not found, then I could tag them and exclude those tagged as such from my other smart playlists. Any ideas about what conditions to use?
For clarification, this isn't for JRemote but smart lists in MC27. Sorry, I didn't realize JR in my original post could also mean JRemote instead of JRiver!

Look under Smart Playlists, there should be one called "Task -- Missing Files".
If it isn't there use the following rule: [=IsMissing()]=1

Fortunately, at least so far, 🤞 they are mostly incorrect filenames (1), (2), etc from the days when MC didn't overwrite dupes and some incorrect directory name prefixes. I use a photo program called Lightroom to manage and develop my digital photos. Similar to a DAM like MC. If you move a file outside LR then it can't find it. Fortunately, LR has the built in capability to allow you to "find missing files". You initiate that and browse to the directory where there really are and LR updates its internal database. No internal browse in the MC library renaming to find missing files. The way I found in MC is the Library rename/move files to correct the file paths. I realize music lovers probably don't move files around much but us photographers are ALWAYS moving stuff and forgetting where we put it!

Yeah, I’m having some trouble occasionally with renaming files as well. I do a lot of curation on my media files. Because my media are on a NAS that sometimes creates havoc and Imhave Romeo chasing after files. F6 is a great thing.
