2D files trying to play as 3D
« on: January 02, 2021, 08:14:48 am »

I have been downloading 4k live performance videos for awhile and recently the ones I have been downloading are taking up half the MC 27 window in a blurry Side by Side 3D so JRiver thinks these files are 3D for some reason.  They are definitely 2D and they play fine in Windows Media Player.  I researched and went into madVR and ticked off the checkboxes in the 3d for when playing 2d content disable os stereo 3d support (I also tried unchecking everything in the rendering->stereo 3d tab).  Is there anything else I can try?  Thank you.

To eliminate madVR as being involved, try Red October Standard.   If that works, try Red October HQ but with not changes to madVR.

That actually made it that the whole screen is pink with some of the colors in the video being inverted to white.  The other way at least you could see some detail but it was blurry and blocky.  Good idea to try though.

If it doesn't play with RO Std, there may be a problem with the file.

Or maybe an HDCP problem.  Try Google if you need to.
