New on Mac - Media Center won't play
« on: January 14, 2021, 10:48:22 am »

Hi folks,

I have been with Media Center on Windows for ages and I still love it... I am now in the process of switching to my first ever Mac as I have purchased a Mac Mini M1.

Unfortunately I can't get MC27.0.50 Universal to play anything off my Windows DLNA Server. I keep getting the attached message as soon as I start playback.

On Windows I would have looked for codecs and stuff but on Mac OS I am completely helpless...

Anyone please advise? MC is vital for me :-)

Kind regards,
Matt

If you are playing to a HDMI device, the M1 currently can only handle a 48k sample rate.
You need to go into DSP studio in MC, output format, right click on a sample rate and pick "set all to 48000"
