Changes in the components that analyze Bpm?
« on: January 16, 2021, 03:53:13 am »

1st I know it's not an "exact science". I have used JR for more than 15 years and mainly for my music collection. I have noticed lately that when I analyze new tracks and re analyze old tracks I get half the Bpm (that is a 120 bpm reads 60 bpm). Mainly 70s and 80s rock, disco, R&B so it is steady beats but not modern electronic music.

Is this due to any changes in the components that analyze Bpm? Is there anyway to set a parameter like "x2" so I don't have to go through and manually change everything. If I compare with other Bpm analyzers like in Mixmeister They read the Bpm correct in >95% of the tracks. JRiver in less than 25%.
