Disconnect From Media Server
« on: April 10, 2003, 03:01:21 pm »

Using v9.0.145, is there a menu item to disconnect the client from a media server?  Also, while connected to a media server, why is the menu choice for tools-options [ctrl-o] disabled?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

There is no disconnect because Media Server is treated as just another library. In other words, to disconnect just switch to another library.

Option window problem will be fixed in next build.

Nikolay,

Thanks for the quick response.  After reading your response, I conected to my media server and then clicked on file-library-default.  Indeed, it switched back to the mp3 files stored on the local drive.

To switch back to the media server, it appears to be necessary to once again search for the media server.  My preference would be to connect to one or more media servers while also having simultaneous access to the files stored on the client's local drive.  I can achieve this by mapping network drives to the media server's drive;  but of course I lose the disctict advantage of using the server's playlists, etc.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

Thanks!

Go into Library Manager and add a library. Examples included there.
