Checking back in.  It's been over 2 1/2 months since this JRemote 3.34 problem was first reported.  Is there a fix on the horizon?  If so, is there an ETA?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Is there any news on the app update for iOS?
Have been waiting patiently for two months now.
I use JRemote daily and the iOS screen mapping errors are really quite annoying.
To be honest I would have preferred it if you had left it as it was on the last release.
It would help if we could at least have a date when the new version might be available?
Apart fro this, JRiver is a great product and I am grateful for the continued development of the software.
Many thanks,
Mark H

Most issues implies there's issues still remaining, with that one (if I recall correctly) being one of them. There's a list of some of the known issues in the first post of this topic which are being worked on by Bob.

I second all of this.

Is there any way to make version 3.33 available again, so we could go back to the prior version?  In my experience, I never had any issues with 3.33.

No - not trying the beta - but happy to do so if it would help?

What problem?

Seriously?  :o

I came to search the forum after multiple months of struggling with 3.34 to see if I could learn what could possibly be holding up a patch for the terrible layout of 3.34 on at least the iPhone XR. I guess I got my answer...

There's a beta with fixes, which you have to message Bob around being added to TestFlight.

Read the posts on the previous page, Bob has been releasing 3.35 betas for those who are on the beta tester list (which you can join if you ask Bob) that fixes a good number of issues reported.

Yes.  You didn't say.
I'm not the guy who posted the original question, but whatever.

So, since you basically seem to be implying that your "What problem?" retort to that other guy meant that you actually weren't sure which of the months-long problems with 3.34 he was referring to, I guess I owe you an apology, because I just assumed you were being intentionally obtuse for some reason. I've scanned this thread a few times and can't find anything being discussed that might be a competing problem to the ubiquitous iPhone screen-drawing problem, but I'll re-read it again with stronger glasses on to see if I can find something.

Out of curiosity, does your "Administrator" appellation mean that you are a JRiver employee, or are you just some kind of volunteer bulletin board hall monitor?

Read the posts on the previous page, Bob has been releasing 3.35 betas for those who are on the beta tester list

I've read the posts and am aware of incremental fixes in the betas, and it's tempting to get on the beta channel. Do you think all users who are getting fed up with this problem should get on the beta? That doesn't strike me as a very good way to roll out fixes.

The truth is I don't really want to run beta software, no more than I want to run freeware. I pay for software expecting to get certified releases. I get that problems come out of left field at times, but if a significant problem with a release can't be patched or fixed within a couple weeks or so of release, it should be pulled and reverted.

The iPhone player interface to this premium product has been broken for almost three months. It's past time to release a fix of one kind or another to the paying customers. I really don't think that's too much to ask.

Thanks everyone for the screenshots and crash info.
Will see if I can get another beta out to address some of the issues.

Hi Bob, please can you kindly send me an invite to test the beta for JRemote iOS.
Many thanks,
Mark

Just a point of information on this, there is no reverting the changes.
Apple requires a launch storyboard now, JRemote never had one, the addition of one created the totally unrelated formatting issues.
There's no going back.
