Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC
« on: March 02, 2021, 03:22:34 pm »

Hello Again Folks,

Thanks for the help with the CPU and the advise to not use Windows Server 2019.

Does anyone know if JRiver is compatible with Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC?
It looks like it has less software bloat (no windows store) and less frequent feature updates.

Thanks again for anyone taking the time to help!

Unfortunately normal end-users can't legally purchase a single Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC license (like you can with Home and Pro licenses), as it's a business OS and meant to be purchased via volume licensing. The only way for non-enterprise users can obtain it is by pirating it, which is illegal and obviously not supposed to be talked about here. Not to mention like with Windows Server, JRiver likely doesn't support running Media Center on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC either.

In my opinion it's best to stick with normal Windows 10 Home or Pro.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

FYI - I paid for the "upgrade" to "Windows 10 Pro for Workstations" to get back full ReFS Support.  It really is just a feature unlock from Windows 10 Pro to "...for Workstations" and (as expected) it works fine.
