More than once a week a loose a big chunk of my library. Usually artists beginning with the letter A but often other as well. I have appr. 900 artists in my library and 2500 albums. However, today for instance, I only see 800. If I reload my library it all works fine for a couple of days.

I have a very small celeron based computer with 10 gb of ram running w10pro. Can my computer run out of power causing this? Any other suggestions?

This can happen if your NAS/USBdisk goes offline while MC is running.

On the AutoImport settings, make sure the "Fix broken links" option is set to "No" or "Protect files on missing drives" (I prefer this one). You can also disable the "Update for external changes", but then you'll have to trigger autoImport manually whenever you add/remove content.

I took a look and I already had the option "Protest files on missing drives".

Any other suggestions?

Set it to No and see what happens.

The Protect Missing Drives feature only works in certain circumstances (if it can see the top-level directory, but not the files, they'll still get removed). Setting it to No will stop it entirely from trying to fix broken links.

Thanks. I've done that now. I just have to wait and see if that will work.

Assuming it does (and it probably will) I'd next try to investigate what was making your drive go offline.
