Ripping Problem- last ripped Cds data keeps coming up
« on: February 24, 2021, 08:55:24 pm »

Hello,
When I am ripping CD's, often the data from the last CD keeps coming up and JRiver attempts to match it with the new CD. This problem started with MC 26 and is still happening on MC 27.

My setup: Surface Pro 7 I5, WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra NAS, Memorex External CD/DVD Player/Burner

I have testedsimply ripping to the onboard drive and not using the NAS - same results.
I also have another external CD/DVD/Bluray Player/Burner - same results.

Unplugging/replugging in the external CD Drive does not get it to recognise the new CD
Restarting JRiver does not get it to recognise the new CD.
Unplugging the external CD Drive, restarting JRiver, replugging in the external CD Drive does not get it to recognise the new CD.

The only way to get it to recognise the new CD is to restart the computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Christo

Are both the CD drives you tested external drives?  USB?  Did you try a different USB port?

USB 3.0 drives plugged into USB 2.0 ports can sometimes have problems.

Both CD Drives are USB 2.0 (Actually has 2, 2.0 plugs per drive) plugged into USB C Docking station, which is plugged into the Surface Pro.
