How I send video to a TV without DLNA... it isn't pretty
« on: May 01, 2021, 09:55:56 am »

I tried to find a way to get MC to send video to a TV for which I don't have built-in DLNA functionality.  I tried Bubble UPnP Server, but it didn't run reliably on my Surface Pro.  I tried MC on my RPi3B+, but the video didn't render smoothly at all.  I tried OSMC on my RPi3B+, and that seems to be working well after I enable UPnP.  But really, I'd love the ability to send it to my Chromecast Ultra directly from MC https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,129275.0.html so that I don't have to use my RPi3B+ (for which I don't have a wireless keyboard, mouse, or remote).  VLC does it.  Plex does it.  Is there any chance MC will do it soon?
