DLNA no volume control
« on: May 13, 2021, 08:44:13 am »

Hi,

I am using MC27.0.85 64bit on Windows 10 professional.
I am streaming to a Yamaha CD-N301 which works pretty well, except ...
I can't control the volume from MC. This is critical as I feed the streamer direct into a power amp and have no other way to control volume.

Could anyone suggest what I might try to fix this?

Thanks.

It sounds like the renderer isn't implementing the volume control.

Try AndrewFG's testing program:

Yeah. The DMRA will test if the renderer implements SetVolume and Mute commands. But to be quite clear it can only test if the renderer responds to those commands over the wire, and it can’t check whether the renderer actually does anything inside. :)
