MC27 - Media Network Clients Converting Audio Format
« on: May 21, 2021, 10:07:46 am »

I have recently purchased a licence for MC27 to upgrade my existing MC25 installation  ahead of the launch of MC28. I have used Media Server for a number of years with several incarnations of MC to sucessfully stream my mainly FLAC audio library to various clients without conversion. Having installed MC 27, and checking the various option settings, my MC27 clients appear to be converting  all FLAC files to MP3.
Any suggestions/help will be appreciated.

Check the conversion settings on the server.

Jim

Thanks for prompt response. I can see no obvious difference between the Media Server Settings in my MC25 and MC27 installations. Any further guidance suggestions gratefully appreciated.

On the server, under Media Network > Advanced, you can set conversion for the server you're using.

Much appreciated Jim. Eventually cracked it. It'some time since I've set up a server and I overlooked the Advanced Settings. Looking forward to MC28.
