This morning I find that JRiver is playing IPC in my usual zone and I cannot stop it.  I have turned off system sounds (always were off) and now I have turned of WDM (just now) but it continues.  I also created a new zone for the same output device but, before or after I deleted the original zone, the IPC stream (silent btw) still pops up in place of anything I try to play from any library.  Another zone directed to another device plays fine without any IPC interference.

I have rebooted and reloaded JRiver several times in this process.

The only thing new is that, yesterday, I streamed from a number of Internet radio stations, something I had never done before.

That's just the WDM driver.  It's normal.

Is it normal that I cannot shut it off and that I cannot play anything else?

Make sure MC isn't your default device in Windows.

It is not.

The resolution I found was to delete and re-install the ASIO drivers (the same versions but from their original download source).

Hi

This is a feature not a bug!

If JRiver is the Windows default device, and WDM-Driver is activated, then if you play Windows sound (any) JRiver captures from Windows.

If you start playing a file in JRiver then it switches to ASIO. Very nice, no need to Open Live for playing windows sound.

But not if JRiver is NOT my Windows default device and it WDM-Driver is NOT activated.

But it does not.

I have the feeling that no one is listening to what I said.

Check any prior versions of MC that might still be installed.

Thanks.  If this issue ever recurs, that will be on my checklist.
