Windows can do that because of the registry. Mac and linux need to use the last backup from 27.

Thanks for providing that, it's kind of hard to read but it looks like it hung in the JRAnalyzer.
Are you thumbnailing video as well?
Perhaps try changing the thumbnail threading to low and try again (you might see what file it's hanging on).
