Is it possible to allow two settings options for import, one for Auto-Import and another to be set differently for manually initiated importing?
I'd like Auto-Import to run in the background and include all the optional functions (Lyrics, Thumbnail creation, cover art, etc), while having a simple manually initiated import with none of these included available as well without the need to change options each time. This would be useful to me, and perhaps others as well, not sure how others work.
Also, is there now, or planned, the ability to run Macros?
I find I often repeat the same series of operations while tagging and importing files and imagine this could be both help expedite and improve accuracy.
Some of this can be handled in Ripping in MC if that is the file source, for other sources I manually tag.
for example:
1- fill properties from filename
2- get cover art
3- analyze audio
4- update tags from the library
5- convert from FLAC to mp3
6- copy FLAC to the library drive
7- copy mp3 to portable library
This all works for me, but it's cumbersome and hey, this is the 21st century so I guess it is time to catch up and toss out the stone tables and chisel.
