Supported Types Option Formatting?
« on: July 25, 2021, 12:33:45 pm »

Hi there,

I understand that if i sync to a device and want to only convert audio tracks which are unsupported I can specify which are supported in Handheld Options > Files, Paths & More > Supported Types I'm just not sure what format I should put the support types in as, I've tried mp3, .mp3 [mp3] and none of them work?

I sync to a desktop folder, which I then copy to my actual device as my Android phone isn't recognized my MC26 for Mac.

Thanks for any help with this. :)

Does nobody here know the answer to this? It seems strange there are instructions on how to specify supported formats but it leaves out how to type in the supported formats manually?

Thanks for any help

It's  in the form

mp3, flac, wav

The device must support whatever you enter.

Thanks Jim, it's working now, perhaps I just needed to restart as I tried just typing in mp3 before and it didn't pick it up.

The format it likes/defaults to when typed in normally is mp3;flac;wav

My device doesn't support aiff so just needed to set it up so it converts them.

All working fine now. :)
