View Extras help please
« on: August 22, 2021, 06:24:49 pm »

For most of my music albums I save information about the album from a web page using the MHT file format.

These MHTs are imported and tagged with the Artist and Album.

MC correctly opens the MHTs in my browser when I play them.

I see only image files and txt files offered in View Extras.

I would like MHTs to also be offered in View Extras.

Is there a registry edit or some other method to achieve this?

I see from this thread that HTM and HTML are supported but MHT is not:

MHT is a very nice format for saving a complete web page in a single file and so is perfect for extras info.

If a registry edit is not possible, would you please add MHT to the list of file types supported by View Extras?

Thanks.

Have not tried it but Edge saves these as *.mhtml not just MHT. You could give tiit a try by renaming one of them to this extension and see if the internal Webview (Edge engine) recognises it??

Thank you for the idea. I tried it.

MHTML files are also not supported by the View Extras feature.

The problem is not caused by web engine support.

The problem is caused by the MHT file type not being supported by View Extras.
