Date Last Opened not updated for ISO files
« on: September 01, 2021, 12:27:19 pm »

Hi,
When playing a ISO file such as a SACD, the "Date Last opened" info is not updated properly.

The issue is only in this case:
- add multiple tracks of the same ISO to the queue.
- let them play
- the first track is updated properly
- the others are not

if the tracks are played individually through the "Play" option of the popup menu for instance, or by double clicking them in the queue, the date is updated properly.

The issue really seems to be when multiple tracks from the same ISO are in the queue and played one after another without user intervention.

I am using the latest 28 version on a M1 Mac, but had the same problem before for a long time on 25 on a x86 Mac.

I just played from my test ISO I keep around.  The date last opened sets as soon as it goes to the next track for me.

It has filenames like this:
C:\MAC\Current\Test Clips\Image\CDImage.ape;1
C:\MAC\Current\Test Clips\Image\CDImage.ape;2

Not sure what might be different?

Mmmm SACD ISO vs APE ISO?
Thanks for the info.

I'll try to do more tests with other ISOs. Good idea.

I don't think it can be a different setup of JRiver or the computer itself.
Or no clue where to look to find the cause if that's the case...

I believe the issue is not about ISO or not ISO but related to playing over DLNA or locally.

The dates get updated properly while playing locally through my DAC, but not properly updated while played on my Audio receiver via a DLNA server hosted by MC.

I'll open another thread about that.
