Automatic Stop while recording??
« on: March 30, 2003, 06:44:18 am »

?

I am trying to record books on tape to MP3 files.  The help file in Recording says:

"When the source material ends, the recorder will automatically stop. "

I have not found this to be true.  If I am not there to push the stop button when the tape ends, the recording does NOT stop and will continue to record "Dead Air".  Is this the correct action of Media Center?  If so, shouldn't the Help File be corrected?

Thanks,

Charlie

You could also enable the track splitting option but give it a large value for "minimum gap between tracks", like 20000 (20 seconds). Then it will stop recording after 20 seconds of silence have elapsed.
