Syncing Problem with FIIO M7
« on: September 09, 2021, 10:53:42 am »

Hello, I'm new to JRiver MC and have had an issue syncing with a portable device (FIIO M7).

I imported my music from my iTunes music folder and also set it up to watch the folder.  If I buy something on iTunes it automatically gets added to the JRiver library.  That all works fine.  I connect my M7 to my Windows computer via USB and it is recognized and list both the internal and SD card in Windows explorer.  JRiver also recognizes the device and list both storage areas.  I clicked on the SD card in JRiver to sync the portable device.  I remove songs from the list that I don't want synced and click the sync button.  It starts to sync and I keep an eye on it for awhile to see how it is going.  The sync seems to be going well and then all of a sudden the SD card just disappears from JRiver which causes an issue with the sync.  I also noticed the same thing happens when I use  Windows explorer to copy the music to the device.  If I remove the card from the device and insert it into my computer using the SD slot, then I have no issues with JRiver syncing the SD card.

Wondering if anyone else experienced this issue.

I was searching to see about something else on a FiiO player and yours was the only result. As there were no responses to your query, I thought I'd reply.

For both of my players (M11 Plus LTD and M11 Pro), the player losing communication happens for me too. I'm pretty sure that it is an issue with the player and not MC or Windows.

I've had the same problem.  It's inconsistent.  However, when puting the sd card in the computer it works 100% of the time.  I have an M7 also.
