how to explain this:
on the left hand side of Media centre is a tree of various things including this:
Drives & Devices/Explorer/Network/ etc.
up until about 3 days ago this expansion above showed me all my intranet sites [ie this computer here and one upstairs, but MOST importantly my local server here] which contains all my files for JRiver and my Library.
For some reason the local server isn't being shown on the tree.
Usually if I restart my pc [mostly left on but for maintenance etc is restarted] it shows ALL my various connections.
I can, and do, Map my server for that pc. this way I can see my files in the tree above the network icon.
could you please explain why I have lost it in the internet part of the tree. Because of the above the file system has now changed letters [ie was server is now the mapped drive.
any help would be gratefully accepted.
