I had scanned my old DIA's (slides) through an external Photo Studio.

The problem was that they had done that through several Volumes but each Volume was starting with DIA001. So I had DIA001 etc. several times. Also Date was always the same for all DIA's (slide's).That lead to several problems in MC which I have fixed by changing the names through MC's Rename, Copy & Move Files Tool. But it makes no fun.

Is there a way in MC to give the files a unique ID during import from a HD/CD if date is not a unique identifier?

How do you do it?
