Crash on File Import
« on: November 03, 2021, 03:29:59 pm »

Hi!  I am on the latest version of Media Center and running Windows 10.  Windows software is current.  Since the release of 28.0.80, Media Center has been crashing on file imports.  There is no error message.  MC is running fine, then nothing. Disappears from the desktop.  Per some threads, I've removed all AIF/AIFF files.  My library is now only MP3 & FLAC.  Is there an upper limit to the number of files in the library?  I have over 200,000 in it.

Would it be advisable to revert to an earlier release or go back to MC27.  I wish that I could attach some type of documentation, but none is produced.

In your other post, you said you set compatibility to Windows 8.  That isn't right.  Is it still set that way?

Import a single file type at a time to see what triggers the crash.

No known upper limit.

What about antivirus?

Did you configure Windows Defender?
