Audio Bookmarks not working with Jremote2??
« on: October 19, 2021, 12:38:23 pm »

Asked in a couple threads but didn't get anywhere. I have MC27 running on Windows 10, and Jremote2 running on a Pixel 3a.

I can not for the life of me get Jremote2 to recognize or write bookmarks. I have things setup according to the wiki. When I am in
JRiver on windows I can stop an audio track and see that JRiver writes the bookmark. I can then restart the file and the bookmark
works as it is supposed to. So I know they are setup correctly and working.

No matter what I do Jremote2 ignores the bookmark, I recently formatted my phone and erased everything. Even starting from scratch
I still have the problem.

Would really appreciate if someone could help me get this standard feature working. There must be something happening that I am not seeing.

Try setting up authentication on the server.

It's turned on. Always has been. I also have read only disabled.

What else can I do here, there are only a few settings and I am meeting all the requirements.

Thought about starting on my JRiver install but not really desiring to do that.

There's a chance the feature for audio doesn't work yet in remotes like JRemote2.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

I was told the below was for audio as well, if that is the case that would sure answer my dilemma here. Can someone please test on their end to see if audio bookmarks work?

Bookmarking support
JRemote2 will get support to both use and set playback bookmarks, allowing a mostly seamless transition between devices. Stop playback on one device, and resume playback on another using the bookmark.
Note: Authentication is required for bookmarks to be set in the Media Center database.

All these changes are scheduled to arrive in January. First in Media Center in form of the required web service changes, followed by a JRemote2 update towards the end of the month making use of these functions and exposing it to you, the users!
