Weird conversion preset behaviour…
« on: January 31, 2022, 02:18:23 pm »

I created a conversion preset that would downsample 192kHz to 96kHz via DSP, and saved it. After doing it’s job, I’ve since used other conversions, but when I wanted to use the ‘Flac encoder’ to do its normal job, it created a 96kHx flac file; that is, DSP was enabled. Disabling DSP fixed that… BUT, when I again used the preset, it again redefined normal use of the Flac encoder with DSP enabled(!?)

Also, it would help if when using a preset, that it would be indicated as such the next time I wanted to convert something. Instead it shows the converter on which the preset is based without indicating that it’s been modified. For example, add an asterisk ‘*’ ….

Cheers!

I notice something else with conversion presets...

If I associate a DSP with one preset, that same DSP will be associated with any original converter as provided in the pull-down, and it forces me to always check and disable it
