License File past expiration date
« on: January 10, 2003, 01:46:20 am »

I purchased version 8.1 for $24.98 on 24/12/02.  I received my reg. code and it has worked perfectly until today when I was informed 'license file is past expiration date'. I clicked the restore button, put in my code and was told it was incorrect.I asked for an email  of my code and received the same number, logged that in again and was again told that the number was incorrect.??? If and when I get what I paid for working again will I have to go through this monumental waste of time (I've wasted hours reading totally unhelpful flippant answers to genuine questions) every two weeks? Surely you havent sent me the wrong code number twice? If so, could you please send me the correct one.  It would be much appreciated.

there may be two problems

1. the license file is good for 14 days
2. a new version was put out that fixes a license problem (8.0.394)
3. no such thing as 8.1

Once you are licensed, you shouldn't have to think about it anymore.  Are you double clicking on the license file instead of just starting the program by any chance?

For your code, please use "copy-and-paste", don't try and type it in by hand.

Hi,   I 'copy and pasted' the regn. code from your email and am pleased to report SUCCESS!!! I dont understand what you mean about 'double clicking on the license file'. I normally just click the desktop icon or else it starts up automatically when I click on a music icon or play a C.D.  Am I going to have trouble in two weeks time?

It was just a guess: Make sure the desktop icon says: "Media Center" or "Media Jukebox". If you copy your license file to the desktop as well, it will have the same jukebox picture and the name will be something like "Media%20Kukebox8-4890.mjr". The install key can only be used for two weeks, but the program will not expire.

Glad you got it working.
