Unfinished Work -- Your Thoughts Invited

Text Expansion in Tab Thumbnail Views: Several of my Thumbnail View tabs include the album name as one of the text lines. This text line often gets cut off because its length exceeds the available space between thumbnails. When mouse hovers over a thumbnail image, the text should expand into into a tool-tip-like display whenever any line overflows the available space. The need for expansion will vary of course, depending on both length of line and number of thumbnails displayed.
Note the requested behavior is exactly what happens in the tree view, where text expansion occurs depending on width of the tree view pane. It also happens in Details view in the main window, depending on column width. Now long over due for consistency and to eliminate user frustration, please bring the same behavior to thumbnail text in the main window.

Reminder of two recent subjects which IMO are "Unfinished Work":
Feature Request: Add a History menu item to the active Tab hover menu

Feature Request: Improved control over cover art size display in Standard View

JimH:
I'd appreciate a focus on unfinished work we need to look at. No general feature requests, please.

One small piece of "finish" that I would greatly appreciate is the issue discussed in this thread: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,132682.0.html
To summarize, spotlight (and other features that rely on the embedded browser) is hard to use on Linux with a 4k monitor because the embedded browser renders very small and can't be zoomed or scaled up by any of the usual methods. It's hard to read at normal monitor distance and is completely illegible from the couch. I'd be happy with either of the fixes discussed in that thread (a setting on the page, or just reusing MC's own scaling settings on Linux).

I'll second that both of these would also be very nice steps towards cross-platform parity as well.

JRemote2, Android.
1. Timed image sideshows do not work. You must skip between images manually.
2. No full-screen image playback, they're only ol the left half. Even just centering would be nice.
Hendrik promised to finish these, but unfortunately seems to have been distracted by JRVR.
#1 should be a 10 min job, #2 is likely to be longer.
Good idea
