I was doing some testing to see if the time is right yet to migrate some systems we build to Linux from Windows. We do so for audio-only use cases.

1. In evaluating JRVR in Linux, I found that automatic refresh rate isn't yet functional.

2. With an AMD 5700G with a fresh Ubuntu install, there is video tearing bout 15% of the way down from the top of the screen. I wondered whether refresh rate switching would eliminate the tearing.
