Convolution Processing Time Question

When I run convolution filters for content that is 12 channels at 24 bit / 352.8, the convolution processing time is only at 1.77x, but my CPU utilization is a paltry 4%.

Is there a way to speed up the DSP processing, if the computer has spare resources?
