Don't get me wrong -- I have other solutions too -- I'm a lifetime plex member, and Plex is great for what it does. For 75% of what people want, get Plex. But.... that 25% is another matter. Plex does 75% of media very well, and 25% not at all. I've found very little, if anything, JRiver can't do. Now, you may have to dig found out how to ask for it, but once you do, JRiver likely can do it, no matter how unique. I'd call it the swiss-army knife of media, but that's an understatement. It's more like the difference between a rental car and James Bond's car. The rental car will do what you want, so long as you stay within its limits. The Bond car can do *anything*. Granted, you have to be careful what buttons you push, but if you need it, you can do it. There are enough options in JRiver, I suspect there are secret options we've not been told about.
