Hi

MC29.0.87 PC fails with ASIO output (32Bit and 64Bit versions).

Playing any file resulted in: output channels not matching.
Looks like it does not recognize ASIO at all (zero channels?)

Excactly the same configuration I used in MC29.0.86 PC (32Bit and 64Bit versions) and it worked flawlssly.

I have configured 12channels, 44.1kHz as output and all is mixed up/down to 44.1kHz.

I went back to MC29.0.86 and it worked again!

So there must have gone somethong wrong in MC29.0.86 PC (in both 32Bit and 64Bit versions).

Running .87 here and ASIO is working for me. I had to go check to make sure because I do rely on it and JRiver breaking that would be pretty massive.

I use 12 channels
No Down or upmixing

Strang  as the same config in MC29.0.86 PC worked fine. Just upgrading to MC29.0.87 PC didnt work anymore with ASIO output.

Works fine for me with 8 channels.  No up or downmixing.

7 Channels out of JRiver here, 5.2 configuration that gets mapped out to multiple amplifiers per speaker with my interface however.
I switch between JRiver's 7.1>5.1 and my Waves DTS downmix. I don't upmix 2.0 > 5.2 much except for dialogue heavy stereo video content like television series, in that situation, Waves DTS shines at pulling a proper center for dialogue without impacting the stereo background music bed a terrible amount.
JRiver runs at 48khz as that's the most sensible for video sources which typically are at that rate.

okay I will try again installing MC29.0.87 PC.

I actually use ASIO output for acourateconvolver. There I did not change anything.

Probably it has to do with the ASIO of acourateconvolver which was in not an ordinary state (I have not switched on the audio interface while starting the computer, switched on just afterwards). This may have caused the hiccup.

Audio interfaces are somewhat picky about this! Definitely a possibility. USB in my experience has been a bit more reliable. If you're using a FireWire interface (especially with Windows 10, where the support is... interesting) it's significantly more reliable to leave it powered on during boot. They're not heavy on power usage so there's very little reason to ever power them down.
