Visualization Studio Bug?
« on: March 07, 2003, 03:30:49 pm »

Maybe this is just on my system...

If I open, edit, and save an existing visualization in Visualization Studio MC9 crashes the next time I attempt to play a file.  If I re-start the application it again fails to play any audio file (crashing again).  The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall Media Center.

I can repeat the problem by editing seemingly any visualization and saving that edited file.

Try this:

  • Back up your customised visualisation.
  • UNINSTALL MC completely
  • Reboot? I always do...
  • Reinstall MC
  • In the Visualisation folder create a subfolder. Mine is called (for lack of a better word) custom.
  • Restore your visualisation here.

Hey presto? Let me know if you have any luck with this. My problems disappeared when I tried this.
