white screen when auto starting to theater view

(1/3) > >>

PsyDAn:
I'm using a MacMini from late 2014 with ios 12. I have it set to auto open to theater view. This works fine on first start, but if I exit & logout and then go back into my profile, rather than opening up theater mode, it auto opens to a blank white screen and I can't click out or do anything. I then have to hit the power button to reboot. I've gotten this a couple of times now, so it's an ongoing thing. I can give you my exact system info & try to give a better detailed recreation of the problem (I'm not at that machine now), but something is wrong with starting to theater mode. I'm using the MacMini as a dedicated music player, so I want to start direct to theater mode to make it a much more clean and simple system.

bob:
Not sure if you have this in MacOS 12 but
Control upArrow (^↑) brings up Mission control and you should be able to see and select other windows.
The autostart to theater view was an issue in the past but shouldn't be now.

Also, try the 4 different View modes by hot key:

Command-1
Command-2
Command-3
Command-4

One of those may bring you out of it.

Brian.

I'm still getting the issue. Yes I can hit command+2 and then command+4, but that seems like a bug that needs to be fixed. I was trying to have a clean setup where it just booted straight to theater mode without needing to switch to standard mode then switch back.

Will take a look when I can. Bump this thread if you don't hear back in a week or so.
